Only just caught this, but I loved it. Holmes at his most self-righteous, but ultimately not completely incorrect, Watson torn between what is and what perhaps ought to be, reality and fantasy colliding. These lines:

Oh boy, how one wishes that were true. These days, they seem to feel free to describe just about anything they damn well like. Sigh.
