You must describe Godfrey’s tale as if you heard it, rather than receiving that letter. And above all, poor Godfrey must not truly have leprosy in the end.”

The title is perfect! Holmes has a lot of fixes he needs to make for this one, and he should defer to Watson's expertise here... Nice work!

I'm glad you liked it! It's a pity that the story wasn't better, even with Watson's repairs. This one has never been one of my favorites.

Ooof. Poor Godfrey, indeed, and poor family, and poor James. That would indeed be too sad a tale for Doyle. Very powerful!
